La Chicharra's clay comes from the Oaxaca Valley, where the mineral density produces a wall thickness that most commercial espresso cups can't replicate.
Thrown on the wheel in Magdalena Apasco and fired in small batches. The studio notes tonal variation between pieces in the same order as inherent to the process — not a defect, but evidence of it.
Right-sized for an espresso, a cortado, or a macchiato. Heavy enough that setting it down feels intentional.
