Grand Prix week always gives Main Street a little extra energy. The showgrounds open at eight, the $400,000 Longines Grand Prix takes place Sunday afternoon, and Snake Hollow Road is about as busy as it gets all year.
We’re just a few minutes from the showgrounds, at 2454 Main Street, with plenty of pieces that feel right for Hampton Classic week—and just as good once everyone heads home. Come by before or after the show and say hello.
To bring home
The horse head planter ($225) is an easy one. Cast in weathered concrete and inspired by the clean lines of a Grecian bust, it looks especially good by the front door, but would be just as happy on a terrace or tucked into a garden.
The hand-carved wood horse ($295) has a little more presence. Put it on a bookshelf, a window ledge, or in the middle of the table when friends are coming over. Both have that slightly collected, been-here-forever quality we love—pieces that don’t feel overly “Hampton” so much as right at home here.
For an afternoon of entertaining, we’d keep things simple: a few candles, good glasses, something seasonal on the table, and one great equestrian piece to pull it together. That’s pretty much all you need.
For something softer, our wool cushions and throws in brown and soft black bring in the same warm, equestrian feel without going full horse show. They work just as well on the sofa in September as they do outside on a summer evening.
To bring to the rail
A French throw is never a bad idea for a day at the Classic.
Our French Throw Blankets ($384) come in five colors inspired by the French coastline: Rivage, Dune, Cabane, Sous-bois, and Algue Rouge. They’re woven in France from GRS-certified recycled wool and are generously sized at 67 x 90 inches.
Bring one along for the lawn, drape it over your shoulders when the afternoon cools off, or fold it up for a little extra cushion once you’ve found your spot by the ring. And, of course, it’s just as useful back at home long after the ribbons have been handed out.
Come say hello
James or Milagros will be at the shop this week.
We’re at 2454 Main Street in Bridgehampton, a quick drive from the showgrounds. Stop in on your way to the Classic, or come by afterward when you’re ready for a little break from the crowds.
We’ll be here—with both feet on the ground and, very likely, an opinion about the standings.
